Aircraft as a long-range bomber escort (known as a penetration fighter) for the Strategic Air Command (SAC), the Voodoo was instead developed as a nuclear-armed fighter-bomber for the Tactical Air Command (TAC), and as a photo reconnaissance aircraft based on the same airframe. Extensively modified versions were produced as an all-weather interceptor aircraft, serving with the Air Defense Command, later renamed the Aerospace Defense Command (ADC), the Air National Guard, the Royal Canadian Air Force and the unified Canadian Forces after 1968.

Below is a list of F-101 Voodoo airframes that survived military service.

CANADIAN CF-101 VOODOO
Canada purchased F-101s in two batches. 56 F-101B and 10 F-101F aircraft were purchased for the RCAF in 1961, and carried serials with the format RCAF 17 + the last three digits of the USAF serial. The survivors of the first batch were exchanged in 1970-71 for 56 lower time F-101B and 10 F-101F aircraft, which were designated CAF 101001 to 101066. Additionally, Canada was loaned a unique EF-101B aircraft, which served as 101067 from 1982 to 1987.

This section lists aircraft by their Canadian serial numbers. These access the same entries as above but this makes it a little easier to find a/c that are known only by their RCAF/CAF serials.
